Prussia, Kingdom. A 25-Year Long Service Cross for Officers, c.1910

(Dienstauszeichnung für Offiziere). Instituted 18 June 1825 by King Friedrich Wilhelm III. (1825-1920 issue). Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with a bronze trapezoid backplate and horizontal pinback, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms, the obverse with a central monogram of King Friedrich Wilhelm III, the reverse with a number “25” in Roman numerals, unmarked, measuring 39.36 mm (w) x 43.39 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
