Germany, Weimar Republic. A Prussian State Fire Brigade Honour Badge for 25 Years of Service

(Feuerwehr Ehrenzeichen für 25 Jahre). Instituted 25 May 1922 by the Prussian State Fire Brigade. (1930-1934 issue). Constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with trapezoidal backplate and horizontal pinback, consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, the with a black enameled background, bearing a raised fireman’s helmet with crossed axes, above a silver inscription of “FÜR 25 JÄHRIGE DIENSTZEIT” (“FOR 25 YEARS OF SERVICE”), the reverse with a raised inscription of “VERLIEHEN VOM PREUSSISCHEN LANDESFEUERWEHR VERBAND” (“BESTOWED BY THE PRUSSIAN FIRE FIGHTING ASSOCIATION), measuring 33 mm (w) x 38 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
