(Dienstauszeichnungskreuz für Offiziere). Instituted 16 March 1849 by Elector Friedrich Wilhelm. (1849-1866 issue). Constructed of gilded silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms, the obverse with a central monogram of Elector Friedrich Wilhelm, the reverse with a number “25” in Roman numerals, unmarked, measuring 37.33 mm (w) x 41.83 mm (h), weighing 16.8 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in better than very fine condition.
