Item #M0162-378

$135
A very well-preserved United States Naval Construction Battalions (Seabees) EM/NCO’s service cap, constructed of white cotton twill. The structure of the cap is composed of reinforced side panels, the exterior of which is stamped in black ink with an inscription of “SEABEES”, flanked on the left by a cartoon sailor and on the right by a unit insignia of a cartoon bee wielding a drill, while the opposite side of the cap bears a black ink inscription of “TOMMY”. The cap is held together by three overlapping cotton bands on the interior. It measures approximately 215 mm in diameter when in a wearable position, with a height of 68 mm. Minor soiling is evident to both the exterior and interior, but the cap is in an overall near extremely fine condition.
