Spain, Kingdom. An Order of Charity with Purple and Black Distinction, Grand Cross Sash

(Orden Civil de Beneficencia). Established by Queen Isabel II in 1856, modified in 1910 and abolished in 1985. Type II. 1910-1985 Issued. Likely early 20th century sash, constructed of purple ribbed silk, exhibiting two black narrow side stripes with a typical Spanish rosette, strongly faded and stained, in overall fine condition.
