Germany, Imperial. A Gold Grade Wound Badge, Cut-Out Version

(Verwundetenabzeichen in Gold). Constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval and hollow laurel wreath, with a central Stahlhelm on top of crossed swords, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 38.38 mm (w) x 42.54 mm (h), weighing 5.9 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
