United Kingdom. A Most Ancient and Noble Order of the Thistle, Breast Star (Collectors Copy)

Instituted in 1697. Post-1945 Copy. Likely manufactured by Rothe, a Breast Star of the Order, consisting of a silver St. Andrew’s saltire, with clusters of rays between the arms, the obverse centre depicts a thistle in green and pink enamels, within a circle of green enamel bearing the motto of the order NEMO ME IMPUNE LACESSIT (NO ONE CUTS ME WITH IMPUNITY), the reverse presents a principle pin assembly, measuring 80.05 mm (w) x 98.18 mm (h), weighing 60.3 grams, and in near very fine condition.
