Prussia, Kingdom. A Düppel Storm Cross

(Düppeler-Sturmkreuz). Constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse with a leftward-facing profile of Kaiser Wilhelm I, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with a Prussian Imperial Eagle perched on top of a canon, the arms inscribed “DÜPPEL 18. APR. 1864”, with a laurel wreath through the quadrants, unmarked, measuring 31.67 mm (w) x 36.55 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
