Germany, NSFK. A National Socialist Flyers Corps (NSFK) Glider Pilot’s Badge by Karl Wurster

Constructed of stamped tombak, vertical pinback, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central perched German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika overlaid by a date of “1933”, topped by a glider, the reverse with a maker’s mark of “WURSTER, MARKNEUKIRCHEN”, measuring 40 mm (w) x 54 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
