Germany, HJ. An EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle, by Overhoff & Cie

(HJ Gürtelschnalle). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse with a central German national eagle clutching a HJ insignia, within a ribbed border bearing a raised inscription of “BLUT UND EHRE” (“BLOOD AND HONOUR”), the reverse with a loop and swivel magnetic metal attachment prongs, marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and code “M4/27” for maker Overhoff & Cie, Lüdenscheid, also bearing an intact RZM label with an identical maker’s code and serial number “289230”, measuring 63 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
