(Verwundetenabzeichen in Gold mit Etui). Constructed of gilded tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel wreath, with a central Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 36.44 mm (w) x 43.90 mm (h), weighing 34.2 grams, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of heavy card stock with a faux black leather exterior, the interior with a white satin-type lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a slotted off-white felt medal bed, opening with a magnetic metal spring catch with exterior stud release and a functional magnetic metal hinge, the exterior with a partially-intact maker’s label reading “HAUPTMÜNZAMT WIEN”, measuring 70 mm (w) x 70 mm (l) x 22 mm (h), the badge has been polished to a high sheen and the spring catch no longer locks on to the lid, in overall better than very fine condition.
