Germany, Weimar Republic. A Prussian Red Cross 25-Year Honour Badge by Godet

(Ehrenzeichen des Preußischen Landesvereins vom Roten Kreuz 25 Jahre). Instituted 1921. (1921-1933 issue). Constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, consisting of a Maltese Cross, the obverse with white enameled arms, with a central red enameled Geneva Cross on a white enameled background, within a ring of black enamel bearing an inscription of “PREUSSISCHER LANDESVEREIN VOM ROTEN KREUZ” (“PRUSSIAN STATE ASSOCIATION OF THE RED CROSS”), with a silvered laurel wreath set over the arms, joined together at the bottom by a number “25”, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, marked “GODET IN BERLIN”, measuring 45.55 mm (w) x 45.56 mm (h), weighing 21.7, minor flecking of enamels evident, in overall near extremely fine condition.
