Germany, Imperial. A Silver Grade Wound Badge

(Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber). Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel wreath, with a crossed swords overlaid by a central Stahlhelm on a hollow background, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 38.55 mm (w) x 43.57 mm (h), weighing 8.0 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
