(Königliche Kronen-Orden, III. Klasse). Instituted 18 October 1861 by King Wilhelm I. (1867-1918 issue). Constructed of Gold with multi-coloured enamels, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a Gold frame and white enameled arms outlined in gilt, the obverse with a central Gold medallion bearing a raised crown, within a ring of blue enamel bearing a gilt inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD IS WITH US”) and arabesques, the reverse with an analogous medallion bearing a raised monogram of King Wilhelm I, within a ring of blue enamel bearing a gilt institution date of “DEN 18. OCTOBER 1861”, the twelve o’clock arm with an integral loop and suspension ring connecting to a period original ribbon with a functional magnetic metal clasp, the six o’clock arm marked with a “W” for maker Wagner & Sohn, Berlin, measuring 42.93 mm (w) x 46.13 mm (h), weighing 12.8 grams, a chip is evident to the obverse blue enameled ring, in overall better than very fine condition.
