In pickled brass, maker marked "STANLEY & AYLWARD TORONTO" on the reverse, measuring 40.5 mm (w) x 42.8 mm (h), both lugs intact, very light contact, near extremely fine.

 

Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Eastern Ontario with mobilization headquarters at Ottawa under the authority of G.O. 69, July 15, 1916. The Battalion sailed February 16, 1917 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel L.T. Martin with a strength of 29 officers and 902 other ranks. The Battalion served in France as the 7th Battalion, Canadian Railway Troops. It was disbanded on September 15, 1920.
