Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon tri-fold ribbon, the obverse with a monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm I, the reverse with an inscription of “KRIEGER VERDIENST” (“WARRIOR MERIT”), within a laurel wreath joined together at the bottom by a ribbon, unmarked, measuring 25.10 mm in diameter, weighing 8.1 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
