Germany, Wehrmacht. A Close Combat Clasp, Bronze Grade, by Friedrich Linden

(Nahkampfspange in Bronze). Constructed of bronzed feinzink, the obverse consisting of a crossed bayonet and stick grenade inside of a square oak leaf wreath, topped by a German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, flanked on each side by four sunrays and four oak leaves, the centerpiece with a magnetic metal backplate, the reverse with a barrel hinge and horizontal banjo-style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked with the logo of Friedrich Linden, Lüdenscheid, measuring 96.96 mm (w) x 25.98 mm (h), weighing 33.2 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
