Germany, Wehrmacht. A Panzer Assault Badge, Bronze Grade

(Panzerkampfabzeichen in Bronze). Constructed of bronzed feinzink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, with a central Panzer IV on grassy ground, with its left tread extending beyond the wreath, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, an unmarked “oval crimp” variant, measuring 41.98 mm (w) x 60.89 mm (h), weighing 34.1 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
