(Ehrenzeichen vom Roten Kreuz). Instituted on 14 August 1914. Post-1945 Copy. A silver Rupert cross whose lower cross arm is extended, with red-enamel and white edging, with silver rays between the cross arm, the obverse centre presents a white-enamelled medallion bearing a red-enamelled cross, bordered by a ring of red enamel inscribed PATRIAE AC HUMANITATI (FATHERLAND AND HUMANITY), the reverse centre presents a white-enamelled medallion bearing the dates 1864 and 1914, bordered by a ring of red enamel, with a principle pin assembly, unmarked but displaying characteristics typical of Rothe, measuring 56.87 mm (w) x 70.13 mm (h), weighing 48.5 grams, and in very fine condition.
