Germany, HJ. An EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle by F.W. Assmann & Söhne

(HJ Gürtelschnalle). Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse consisting of a central raised German national eagle clutching a HJ insignia, within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “BLUT UND EHRE” (“BLOOD AND HONOUR”), the reverse with a loop and dual attachment prongs, marked a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and code “17” for maker F.W. Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid, measuring 62 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
