Germany, Imperial. A War Commemorative Medal for Fighters 1870/1871

(Kriegsdenkmünze für Kämpfer 1870/1871). Instituted 20 May 1871 by Kaiser Wilhelm I. (1871 issue). Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, affixed to zink backplate with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 28.98 mm in diameter, the reverse is missing its catch, in overall better than very fine condition.
