Governorate of the Schools of the City of Rome Merit Medal (in silver, obverse illustrating a she-wolf nursing and sheltering the infants Romulus and Remus after they were abandoned, standing upon a pedestal bearing a plaque with the Latin inscription "S.P.Q.R" ("Senātus Populusque Rōmānus" = "The Senate and People of Rome"), surrounded by the inscription "SCVOLE DEL GOVERNATORATO", reverse inscribed "AL MERITO" above an upright fasces flanked by the letters "A" on the left and "V" on the right, all of which is contained within a wreath of laurel leaves, each side of the wreath with two flowing ribbons, measuring 30.5 mm in diameter, original ribbon); and 12th Casale Infantry Regiment Commemorative Medal 1937 (in bronze gilt, obverse illustrating the 12th Casale Infantry Regimental insignia flanked by branches of oak leaves on the left and laurel leaves on the right, surrounded by the inscription "12° REGG. FANTERIA. CASALE", with a plaque below the insignia enrgraved "CORSO UFF. F.G.C. / 1937 - XV - II -", reverse illustrating four charging soldiers armed with rifles, engraver marked "S.J." (Stefano Johnson of Milan), with battle honours inscribed "S. LVCIA.-SFORZESCA-S.MARTINO-M.PODGORA / LVCINICO-CALVARIO-GORIZIA-VERTOIBA / VAL D'ASSA-GHELPAC-KABERLABA / M.PANOCCIO-M.BELMONTE / PIAVE-VITTORIO VENETO" below, measuring 26 mm (w) x 30.5 mm (h) inclusive of its integral suspension, scattered gilt wear, spotting).
