Germany, RAD. A Reich Labour Service (RAD) Leader’s Belt and Buckle by F.W. Assmann & Söhne

(Reichsarbeitsdienst Gürtel). A Reich Labour Service (RAD) Leader’s belt and buckle, the latter constructed of aluminum, the obverse with a central raised shovel head overlaid by a mobile swastika, within a ring of wheat stalks, the reverse with a loop and clip, marked with the logo of maker F.W. Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid, measuring 48 mm in diameter, accompanied by a period original belt, constructed of olive-drab canvas, the exterior bearing a silver aluminum wire tresse overlaid by three machine-embroidered olive-drab threaded bands, the interior with a hidden integrated brown leather tongue with four sets of dual eyelets, unmarked, measuring 980 mm in length, some mothing evident to the interior of the belt, in overall better than very fine condition.
