(Silbernes Tafelmesser). Constructed of silver, consisting of a plain, non-serrated blade set within a finely-decorated handle, with one side bearing the monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm II, the other side bearing a Hohenzollern imperial eagle, the blade stamped with a crescent moon and crown indicating German manufacture, a silver content number of “800”, and a mark of “D. VOLLGOLD & SOHN” for the firm of Berlin-based silversmith Franz Gustav docDavid Vollgold, measuring 222 mm in length, weighing 74 grams, minor oxidation evident, in overall better than very fine condition.
