Spain, Spanish State. An Army Garrison Cap by Vestuario, c.1943

Item #M0044-33

$170
A very well-preserved Spanish Army garrison cap, constructed of olive-drab wool twill. The cap features fold-down flaps, fastened together underneath the wearer’s chin by a wooden button, providing ear protection when in use. The exterior is flanked on each side by dual machine-embroidered red threaded bands, while the crown also bears a red threaded tassel. The interior features a complete olive-drab cotton liner, marked with a black ink maker’s stamp of “E.C.I. Vestuario”. It measures 270 mm (l) x 110 mm (h) when folded. Small patches of mothing are evident to the exterior, but the cap is in an overall extremely fine condition.
