Germany, Imperial. A Cuxhaven Naval Veterans Association Badge

(Marine-Verein Cuxhaven Mitgliedsabzeichen). Constructed of gilded bronze with multi-coloured enamels, vertical pinback, the obverse consisting of a central anchor, overlaid by an enameled coat of arms of Cuxhaven, flanked by enameled naval ensigns, topped by a white enameled scroll with a gilt inscription of “MAR:VER. CUXHAVEN” and a German State Crown, unmarked, measuring 45 mm (w) x 50 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
