Constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, the obverse with two raised figures, one of which is clutching a flag and the other a length of broken chain, the reverse with a central date of “13. MÄRZ 1938”, circumscribed by an inscription of “EIN VOLK, EIN REICH, EIN FÜHRER”, (“ONE PEOPLE, ONE NATION, ONE LEADER”), measuring 32.10 mm in diameter, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of heavy card stock with a faux red leather exterior, the exterior with a gold embossed NSDAP-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the interior with a white satin-type lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a depressed red velvet medal bed, opening with a functional spring catch with exterior stud release and a functional magnetic metal hinge, the exterior with a maker’s mark of “HAUPTMÜNZAMT WIEN” for the Vienna Mint, measuring 50 mm (w) x 102 mm (l), in near extremely fine condition.
