Germany, Imperial. A Patriotic Assistance Membership Badge by C.E. Juncker

(Vaterländischer Hilfsdienst Mitgliedsabzeichen). Constructed of hollowed magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by three Imperial German tri-colours, with a central inscription of “VATERLÄNDISCHER HILFSDIENST” (“PATRIOTIC ASSISTANCE”), the reverse with a horizontal pinback, stamped with an identification number of “08307”, an inscription of “SER. 5”, and a maker’s mark of “C.E. JUNCKER, BERLIN”, measuring 56 mm in diameter, in near extremely fine condition.
