(Orden Heinrich des Löwen Verdienstkreuz II. Klasse). Instituted 25 April 1834 by Duke Wilhelm. (1834-1918 Issue). Constructed of silver, consisting of a Latin Cross, with three arms completing in a ball finial and the twelve o’clock arm with an integral loop and suspension ring connecting to a period original ribbon, the obverse arms bearing an inscription of “IMMOTA FIDES” (“UNBREAKABLE LOYALTY”), with a central ribbed oval ring bearing a raised monogram of Duke Wilhelm, the reverse with a crown and crescent moon indicating German manufacture, a silver content number of “900”, and a maker’s mark of “S” for the firm of Carl Siebrecht, Braunschweig, measuring 28.74 mm (w) x 38.64 mm (h), weighing 7.6 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
