Germany, Third Reich. An Air Protection Medal, II Class

(Luftschutz-Ehrenzeichen II Klasse). Constructed of aluminum, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, the obverse with a central raised mobile swastika, circumscribed by an inscription of “FÜR VERDIENST IM LUFTSCHUTZ” (“FOR MERIT IN AIR PROTECTION”), the reverse with a central raised date of “1939”, unmarked, measuring 40.33 mm in diameter, weighing 13.9 grams, in extremely fine condition.
