Bavaria, Kingdom. A Jubilee Medal for the Army

(Jubiläumsmedaille für die Armee). Instituted 12 March 1905 by Prince Regent Luitpold. (1905 issue). Constructed of bronze, the obverse with a raised leftward-facing profile of Prince Regent Luitpold, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with an inscription of “AM 70 JAHRESTAG MEINES DIENST-ANTRITTES DER BAYER ARMEE GEWIDMET XII.III.MCMV” (“ON THE 70TH ANNIVERSARY OF MY ENTRY INTO THE BAVARIAN ARMY, DEDICATED XII.III. MCMV”), measuring 32 mm (w) x 44 mm (h), in very fine condition.
