Khrueang Ratcha-itsariyaphon An Pen Thi Choetchu Ying Chang Phueak. Instituted in 1861. Fourth Period (1941- ). In silver gilt with red, white and green enamels, Thai hallmarked and maker marked on the reverse of the crown, measuring 34 mm (w) x 59 mm (h) inclusive of its crown suspension, chipping and loss evident in the white enamels on the elephant, rosette on its original ribbon, fine.
Footnote: The Most Exalted Order of the White Elephant is an order of Thailand. It was established in 1861 by King Rama IV of the Kingdom of Siam. Along with the Order of the Crown of Thailand, it is regularly awarded to government officials for each five years of service, making it Thailand's most-awarded order.
