Germany, Imperial. A Warrior Merit Medal for Non-Combatants, c.1900

(Krieger-Verdienstmedaille für Nichtkämpfer). Instituted 1835 by King Friedrich Wilhelm III. (1873-1918 issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a raised monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm I, the reverse with an inscription of “KRIEGER VERDIENST” (“WARRIOR MERIT”), within a laurel wreath, unmarked, measuring 24.98 mm in diameter, weighing 8.8 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in near extremely fine condition.
