Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a raised monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm I, the reverse with an inscription of “KRIEGER VERDIENST” (“WARRIOR MERIT”), within a laurel wreath, unmarked, measuring 24.98 mm in diameter, weighing 8.8 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in near extremely fine condition.
