(Verdienst-Ehrenzeichen für Rettung aus Gefahr). Instituted 1 February 1833 by King Friedrich Wilhelm III. (1875-1907 issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a raised leftward-facing profile of King Friedrich Wilhelm III, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with a central inscription of “FÜR RETTUNG AUS GEFAHR” (“FOR RESCUE FROM DANGER”), within an oak leaf wreath, unmarked, measuring 25.80 mm in diameter, weighing 6.8 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
