Germany, Imperial. A Kaiser Wilhelm I Patriotic Badge

(Patriotisches Abzeichen). Constructed of silvered bronze, horizontal pinback, the obverse consisting of a raised rightward-facing profile of Kaiser Wilhelm I, circumscribed by a raised inscription of “DEM SIEGER HEIL” (“VICTORIOUS GREETINGS”), above a laurel branch, the reverse with a maker’s mark of “E. & S.”, measuring 43 mm (w) x 50 mm (h), in very fine condition.
