Germany, Wehrmacht. A Panzer Assault Badge, Silver Grade

(Panzerkampfabzeichen in Silber). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, with a central Panzerkampfwagen IV superimposed on the centre on grassy ground, with its tread extending beyond the wreath, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 41.10 mm (w) x 60.09 mm (h), weighing 19.5 grams, in very fine condition.
