Germany, Third Reich. A 1938 Kyffhäuser League Combat Games Victor’s Sleeve Badge

(Kyffhäuserbund Wettkampfsieger Ärmelabzeichen). Constructed of bronze, affixed to a black wool backer, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a 1914 Iron Cross and flanked by mobile swastikas, with a central Kyffhäuser Monument above an inscription of “WETTKAMPFSIEGER” (“COMBAT GAMES WINNER”) and a target overlaid by crossed rifles and a date of “1938”, unmarked, measuring 58 mm (w) x 68 mm (h) (inclusive of backer), in extremely fine condition.
