Germany, Ordnungspolizei. A 25-Year Long Service Medal with Case

(Dienstauszeichnung der Polizei für 25 Jahre). Instituted 30 January 1938. (1938-1945 issue). Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms, the obverse with a raised central Ordnungspolizei insignia, the reverse with a central oval medallion bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE IN DER POLIZEI” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE POLICE”), unmarked, measuring 43.20 mm (w) x 47.44 mm (h), weighing 23.0 grams, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of heavy card stock with a faux green leather exterior, the lid with a gold embossed number “25” within an oak leaf wreath, the interior with a white satin lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a slotted and depressed grey velvet medal bed, opening with a functional magnetic metal spring catch with exterior stud release and a functional magnetic metal hinge, unmarked, measuring 60 mm (w) x 104 mm (l) x 22 mm (h), minor material fatigue evident to the presentation case, in overall extremely fine condition.
