Schwarzburg-Sonderhausen, Principality. A I Class Honour Cross in Gold, c.1900

(Fürstlich Schwarzburgisches Ehrenkreuz I. Klasse). Instituted June 9, 1857. (Issue 1857-1918). A Gold Maltese cross with white enameled arms, obverse with a central oval shaped and framed blue enameled medallion bearing a Gold rampant lion, reverse with a similar central oval shaped and framed blue enameled medallion, inlayed with a single royal crowned monogram of Günter Friedrich in Gold, with small period replacement Gold ring for suspension, missing elongated loop, measuring 56.32 mm (h - without integral suspension fan) x 53.10 mm (h - not including its oak-leaves), weighing 31.6 grams, accompanied by a mid 20th Century section of neck ribbon in overall extremely fine.
