Germany, Heer. An EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle, by Dr. Franke & Co.

(Heer Gürtelschnalle). Constructed of magnetic metal, the obverse with a central raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, circumscribed by an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD IS WITH US”) and oak leaves on a ribbed ring, the reverse with a loop dual attachment prongs, the reverse maker marked “DR. F. & CO.” for Dr. Franke & Co., Lüdenscheid, with a date of “1940”, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), in better than very fine condition.
