Saxony, Kingdom. A 9-Year Long Service Cross for Non-Commissioned Officers, c.1917

(Dienstauszeichnung 1.Klasse für Unteroffiziere). Instituted 6 September 1913 by King Friedrich August III. (1913-1918 issue). Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with ribbed arms, the obverse with a central monogram of King Friedrich August III, the reverse with central number “9” in Roman numerals, unmarked, measuring 35.74 mm (w) x 39.90 mm (h), weighing 16.4 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in extremely fine condition.
