Germany, Imperial. A Rare Field Communion Kit with Case, c.1915

A field communion kit consisting of a plain pewter vessel, opening with a lid bearing a ribbed border and adorned with a raised Cross Pattée, which screws securely onto the vessel affording protection for the interior contents, unmarked, measuring 46 mm (w) x 80 mm (h) (inclusive of lid topper), accompanied by its period original case, constructed card stock with a boiled black leather exterior liner, opening with a functional bronze catch, the interior with red velvet lid and body liners, unmarked, measuring 62 mm (w) x 64 mm (l) x 92 mm (h), minor material fatigue is evident to the case, in overall near extremely fine condition.
