Saxe-Altenburg, Duchy. A Medal for the Golden Jubilee of Duke Ernst I, c.1905

(Medaille zum 50 jahrigen Regierungsjubiläum). Instituted 3 August 1903 by Duke Ernst I. (1903 issue). Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a rightward-facing profile of Duke Ernst I, the reverse with an inscription of “ERNST HERZOG VON SACHSEN-ALTENBURG” and a date of “3. AUGUST 1903”, unmarked, measuring 32.62 mm in diameter, weighing 15.0 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
