Prussia, Kingdom. An 1863 Commemorative Medal for Combatants of 1813-1815

(Erinnerungs-Kriegsdenkmünze 1863 für Kämpfer von 1813-1815). Instituted 17 March 1863 by King Wilhelm I. (1863 issue). Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a leftward-facing profile of King Friedrich Wilhelm III, circumscribed by name and title, above a banner bearing dates “1813-1814-1815”, the reverse with a central monogram of King Wilhelm I, circumscribed by an institution date of “DEN 17. MÄRZ 1863”, unmarked, measuring 28.95 mm in diameter, weighing 12.2 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in extremely fine condition.
