In silver gilt, an enameled white Latin cross with bifurcated ends, featuring a wearing vertical sword along the upright arms, superposing by oxidised silver Estonian eagle on the center, the badge located on a circular original ribbon with screw back, marked by maker’s mark of R Tavast, Tallinn, measuring 21.72 mm diameter ribbon, light contact, extremely fine.
Footnote: The Order was established on 19 June 1929 to be awarded to members of the Kaitseliit (Estonian Civil Guard) for distinguished service. The Order was suppressed after the Soviet occupation of 1940, some 6,000 awards having been made, but reinstated in 1991.
