Constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with white enameled arms overlaid by stylized red enameled flames, with a central white enameled disk bearing a black mobile swastika, the arms joined by a banner bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR VERDIENSTE IM FEUER-LÖSCHWESEN” (“FOR MERIT IN FIREFIGHTING”), unmarked, measuring 43.87 mm (w) x 48.24 mm (h), weighing 18.8 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
