A cast gilt rounded medal consisting of a facing-right portrait of Emperor Franz II circumscribed by name and title on the obverse, reverse with the inscription “DER TAPFERKEIT” (“To Bravery”), within a laurel wreath and above crossed standards, measuring 40.36mm in diameter, with integral ring suspension on original Knight’s ribbon, light contact, very fine.
