First Busby Badge has a 50 mm in diameter brass ball, bearing a bronze gilt voided Royal Canadian Engineers insignia, with the St. Edward Crown, a brass flame affixed to the neck of the base tubing above the insignia, a slider attached to the tubing at the rear and maker marked "FIRMIN LONDON", white plume protruding from the grenade’s flame and secured in place via a black cord in the tube, the plume with a silvered restraining ring, measuring 210 mm in length inclusive of the ball and plume. Second BusbyBadge has a 46.3 mm in diameter gilt metal ball, bearing a fire gilt voided Canadian coat-of-arms insignia, with the St. Edward Crown, a gilt metal flame affixed to the neck of the base tubing above the insignia, a slider attached to the tubing at the rear, white plume protruding from the grenade’s flame and secured in place via a black cord in the tube, the plume with a gilt metal restraining ring, measuring 177 mm in length inclusive of the ball and plume.
