Constructed of cream-coloured paper stock with multi-coloured ink, the obverse with a NSRL-style German national eagle overlaid by an inscription of “NATIONAL-SOZIALISTISCHER REICHSBUND FÜR LEIBESÜBUNGEN” (“NATIONAL SOCIALIST LEAGUE OF THE REICH FOR PHYSICAL EXERCISE”), awarding a “SILBERNEN LEISTUNGSABZEICHEN DER NSRL” (“NSRL ATHLETIC BADGE IN SILVER”) to “EDMUND BARTKOWIAK” of ice hockey club “BERLINER SCHLITTSCHUH-CLUB”, with a date of “1942”, the bottom right featuring a facsimile signature of Reichssportführer Hans von Tschammer und Osten, measuring 297 mm (w) x 420 mm (h), the reverse with an illegible hand-drawn image consisting of pencil marks and watercolour paints, with minor age-appropriate material fatigue evident throughout, in overall near extremely fine condition.
