In 14K Gold, weighing 24.5 grams, obverse inscribed with the initials "U.F.A." (Uniformed Fireman's Association) in the center, inscribed "F.D." (Fire Department) on the upper arm and "N.Y." (New York) on the lower arm, flanked by image of an axe over a ladder on the left arm and a fire hydrant on the right arm, reverse engraved "PRESENTED TO / Fred W. Baer. / PRESIDENT INTERNATIONAL / ASSOCIATION FIRE FIGHTERS / BY THE OFFICERS / AND MEMBERS OF THE UNIFORMED / FIREMAN'S ASSOCIATION OF / GREATER NEW YORK. / SATURDAY, JANUARY 14. 1933 / Vincent J. Kane President", marked "14K" and jeweler marked "F.M. RYAN", measuring 39.5 mm (w) x 39.2 mm (h), vertical pinback, extremely fine. In its leather jeweler's folder, inscribed in gold-colored ink "FRED W. BAER / PRESIDENT / INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION of FIRE FIGHTERS" on the outside panel and "Compliments of / FRANK M. RYAN / MANUFACTURING JEWELER" on the pocket on the inside panel, snap closure, case better than very fine.
